GATE Registration 2026 Last Date Today – Apply Online

Today 6 October 2025 is the last date of GATE Registration 2026 without late fee. IIT Guwahati has announced that GATE 2026 application form is open and the same will close by 11.59 PM tonight. This is their last opportunity to fill the GATE 2026 online application form for candidates wishing to apply for MTech admission in IITs and NITs.

GATE 2026 Registration & Important Dates

• GATE registration 2026 start date:- 30 Aug 2025
• Last date for submission of GATE 2026 application form without late fee:- 6 Oct 2025
• Last date for the submission of Online Application with late fees: – 9 Oct 2025.
• Correction window:- Up to 6th November 2025
• GATE Exam Dates 2026:- 7, 8, 14 & 15 Feb 2026
• Admit card date:- 2 Jan 2026

Note: Candidates will have to make the payment of ₹500 as late fee.

GATE 2026 Eligibility

As per GATE exam eligibility 2026 candidates must have any bachelor degree in Engineering or Technology or Architecture or Science or Humanities.

• Final year students are also eligible.
• There is no upper age limit.

GATE 2026 Application Process (Without Late Fee)

If you have not filled the form yet follow these steps:-

1. Visit the IIT Guwahati GATE 2026 website gate2026.iitg.ac.in
2. Visit the GATE 2026 application form link GOAPS portal
3. Register with your name, email address and mobile number to receive your enrollment ID.
4. Login via GATE 2026 candidate login using your credentials.
5. Fill in the form details and upload the required documents.
6. Pay the application fee and click the submit button.
7. Take a printout for future reference.

Required Documents for GATE Registration 2026

The following documents are required to be uploaded while submitting the form:-

• Recent passport size photograph
• Signature in JPG or JPEG format
• Scanned copy of valid ID proof
• PwD or Dyslexia medical certificate (if applicable)
• Category certificate (if applicable)

All documents should be as per the particulars given in the GATE 2026 Information Brochure.

GATE Application Fees 2026

• Female or SC or ST or PwD candidates:- ₹1000 (without late fee) and ₹1500 (with late fee)
• Other candidates:- ₹1800 (without late fee) and ₹2300 (with late fee)

GATE Syllabus & Exam Details

GATE syllabus 2026 includes 30+ subjects or disciplines which include major branches like Mechanical, Electrical, Computer Science, Civil and Chemical Engineering. MCQ (Multiple Choice), MSQ (Multiple Select) and NAT (Numerical Answer Type) questions are asked in the paper.

Exam timings:-

• Forenoon Session:- 9:30 AM to 12:30 PM
• Afternoon Session:- 2:30 PM to 5:30 PM
